Answers to the most common questions about Vixiv AI

Will additional file types be supported in the future?

Yes. At this time, Vixiv AI only supports STL files, but many additional formats are already in the pipeline.

Are other force types supported (impact forces, multi-angle forces, etc.)?

Currently, you can apply multi-angle forces by selecting multiple surfaces and entering a single force value. This value will be averaged across all selected surfaces.

  • In the future, you’ll be able to assign different values to different forces.
  • Impact forces are not yet supported, but are on our development roadmap.

What other materials and printers will be supported?

We’re actively building data to expand beyond our current profile. More materials and printers will be added over time, including metals.

What other domains will be supported in the future?

Our domina roadmap includes:

  • Modal analysis
  • Thermal optimization
  • Fluidics
  • Multi-physics
  • + Other

How was the software trained?

Vixiv AI is trained on a unique dataset of over 30,000 physically built parts from our facility in Cincinnati, OH. Each part was compression-tested to create highly accurate static domain predictions.

This approach accounts for real-world variables like:

  • Operator handling
  • Weather and humidity
  • Printer settings and parameters

Because of this, Vixiv AI is grounded in practical test data, ensuring the software never hallucinates and only generates accurate, ready-to-print designs.
